MIHN VOLUNTEER GROUPS
VOLUNTEERS CHANGING LIVES!
The Midland Interfaith Hospitality Network (MIHN) relies on partnerships with local congregations, organizations, businesses/companies and other volunteer groups to help local families in the grips of homelessness.
IF YOUR CONGREGATION, ORGANIZATION, BUSINESS/COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A WAY TO ENGAGE YOUR PEOPLE IN A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY IN THE MIDLAND COMMUNITY THAT WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, THEN THIS MAY BE THE OPPORTUNITY!
HOSTING
Local congregations, organizations, businesses/companies provide a week's worth of food for the persons in the program (up to 4 families, 14 people), anywhere from 1 - 4 times a year.
During the "Host" week, the volunteers prepare dinner for the families, serving the meal at our Day Center and engaging in fellowship with families over dinner.
It's a fabulous opportunity to interact with the persons for whom you are volunteering. It's a golden opportunity to dispel the stereotype of what homelessness "looks" like. It's a GREAT way to 'give back' for the Blessings you've received in your life!
